The Royal National City Park 30 years

The world's first national city park turns 30
A living room for culture and nature
The National City Park is an oasis in the middle of the capital, where nature and culture exist in harmony. At 27 km², the park encompasses forests, open landscapes, and historic environments. Here, you can hike along shores, visit museums, enjoy cafés and restaurants, or simply take in the tranquility of the lush green surroundings, all year round.
The park was established in 1995 to protect this unique area and its rich biodiversity. Over the years, it has become an important place for both the city's inhabitants and visitors. Now we celebrate 30 years of preservation, care, and showcasing—and you are warmly welcome to join!
Before, during, and after the Open House Stockholm festival weekend, October 3-5, you have the chance to discover the national city park through various events, organized by both Royal Djurgården and Open House Stockholm.
